Oldest working lighthouse in the world can be found in the city of La Coruña.

The Tower of Hercules dates back two thousand years, has been reformed throughout the years but it is still working. Built by the Romans, the tower has been in constant use since the 2nd century.

The city of La Coruña is Destination Galicia's base and offers many attractions. A huge beach lies in the centre of the city, very lively in the summer months. The city also has notable modernist buildings, including the largest window ensemble in the world, these buildings in the marina have splendid white balconies covered in with glass that give the town its nickname of “Crystal City”.
